4-year warranty (2007) - 3-year warranty

I cannot talk with anyone at Gateway. They refer me to MPC. My warranty is in effect until 2011. MPC is out of operation. The phone does not answer. The internet site is out of commission. I can get no help. Who is going to start a class action lawsuit? I want to join. I have a M685 E Laptop. My repair man says to JUNK IT. I have only had it 1.5 years and have 2.5 years left on my in-home warranty. I need a refund.

Unfortunately, the effort would be moot. Gateway legally sold their business division to MPC. MPC went bankrupt and closed. In effect, unless some other company backed the warranties MPC acquired through their acquisition of Gateway's business division, the warranty is now null and void. You could attempt to file a class action, though I don't think it would get far considering MPC was under bankruptcy protection prior to folding.
